12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/8/2016. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with good strength. A bit of muddy aromas. Taste of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and pretty refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with mild residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering. Great Citra/Mosaic hop showcase, and held up extremely well considering the bottle dating.

Sampled from the tap at Yazoo BNA. Pours a clear yellow with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bitter citrus and light onion with grass and grains supporting. Flavor is full of citrus with earthy grass and a bit of grains backing.

Bottle from Craft Brewed. Pours a clear light copper to gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Little pine and grapefruit and caramel on the nose. Light body with more of the same the palate. Light and refreshing with medium bitterness. Lots of citrus and some peel. Hazy orange pour with great head and a carpet of foam like a fountain filled with bubble bath. Bitter finish. Tap at brewery.

Spicy IPA, Citra-heavy with a nice woodsy bitterness from the Mosaic. Grainy and dry malt front starts easy but ramps up the IBUs with reckless abandon, leading to a clingy, floral fruitiness on the finish. Easy to understand why Mosaic has become such a go-to for building a complex IPA.

Draught @ Malt and Mold. Cloudy dark orange with small foamy whitish head, orange peel aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter orange peel taste, somewhat thick body, medium bitter finish. Decent IPA bringing oranges into one’s mind.
