Bottle from SB cons 2011-05-10 Göteborg AR: danish rye bread, a bit juniper berries AP: dark dark brown with red tones, high froty chocolaty brown slowly diminishing head F: vanilla, chistmas species (cloves, wee ginger, juiper berries), a bit like glue wein in some asspects, chocolate beans and some coffey. The feeling is sweetness - perhaps from fruits mmm I think it is grapes. Carbonation is intensiv, hand some up my nose there!

Medium brown head. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Christmas spice, fruit and earth aroma. Dry-sweet intensely spicy cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon taste with fruity earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel, slightly fizzy. Dryish chocolatey wood and cloves aftertaste with fruity notes. Interesting, and fairly drinkable, but also very intense. One to sip. (0.375l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

Bottle, 75cl. It looks nice in the glass with its clear, reddish dark brown body and dense, beige head. The aroma is on the spiced side with cinnamon, which I see now when entering my rating isn’t included in the ingredients list, and nutmeg. Toffee too. The flavor is much the same, some orange towards the else spiced end, and there’s also that cinnamon touch found in the aroma. A nice one, but I would like it less spiced. 101229

bottle at home tasting 12-03-11 ... dark black ... thin tan lacing ... sweet cherry malt ... dark suger nose ... cinaomon spice front ... juicy toffe malt ... godd roast ... light brown suger ... quite nice.

Draft @ Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy orange aroma. Fruity malty spicy flavor with some vinous hints. Has a fruity malty spicy finish.

(Bottle, 9.1% version) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy, roasted nose with coffee, caramel, ryvita, dried fruit (figs, dates, raisins), dried orange peel and spices (juniper berries, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg). Very complex aromas. Malty, spicy taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread, caramel, dried fruit, orange peel and spices. Generous, spicy cocoa bitterness in a finish with a slightly vinous touch. Full body, velvety mouthfeel, quite sweet. Very nice and complex beer.

Shared from bottle. Poured a dark-amber-brown color with a medium, fluffy lasting head. Aroma is heavy on the malts with touch of spices and a earthy hop hint in the back. Flavor was chocolate malts, sweet notes. Creamy, very tasty.
