Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, touch of dark fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is a bit above medium and slightly creamy. Lovely dark roast and chocolate aroma, about as much depth as you can hope for from a non-Imperial Stout. Delicious.

Thick & creamy light brown head stayed on a lightly effervescent black body - looks beautiful. Rich aroma of mocha, chocolate, demerara & dark spirits. Full bodied. Airy on the palate. So smooth, feels like milk on the palate with slightly prickly finish. Bitter/Sweet tastes of dark chocolate, cream, berries, licorice & faint citrus hints on the back.

Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. Very dark brown, slight purplish hue. Very opaque. Tan head which disappears very quickly. Coffee grounds, bramble and a fair dollop of liquorice on the nose. Tastes sweetish at the very beginning, then touches of salt, then a fairly intense bitterness. Finishes with black coffee, salted caramel and bitter herbs notes. Body's fairly thick and has an oily feel in the mouth. Modest carbonation. The more I drink this, the more I like it. There's a lot going on.
