Bottle from the brewery. Hazy, murky, straw colored pour, big white head. Slighty funky, and tart aroma. Some lemon, wet grass, yeast and light grains. Light carb, medium body. Finish is a tad muddled and a bit woody. The barrel seems to detract from the crisp, pepperiness you would get from a saison. Still quite enjoyable, kinda a cross between a saison and a tripel.

Poured from bottle at FHF 2022 (notes from Aug 06, 2022). Clear-ish blonde with white head. A little brett, some belgian yeast, okay.

Nice smell, big Brett, funky. Great stuff, citrus. Almost sour. Lots of different tastes. Was wasted by this stage. --- Beer merged from original tick of Farmageddon on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 9. Wife purchased bottle at brewery: this is a batch 12. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is berries, farmhouse funk, vinegar, wood. Taste is somewhere between tart and sour. Lot of bright fruitiness... berries perhaps. A tad too acidic for what I want in my ideal saison. Sweetness cuts into the acid just a bit. Still good.

Batch 9 at Ratebeer Best. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong brett, oak, funk. Medium body, citrus, brett, oak, light dry finish, very good.

Bottled (Batch 9) at Ottawa gathering. Hazy pale golden, small head. Tart funky nose with hay and lemon. Bone dry with light-medium body crisp, spritzy mouthfeel. Crisp, minerally and lightly bready. Notes of black currant. Mid bitter finish. Very elegant.
