Tap at the brewpub. Actually stronger than the brown which makes the name a little confusing. Rich brown colour hints of red, creamy off white head. Aroma is fruity, bit yeasty, touch of citrus, cocoa powder. Taste is berries, bready malt, fruity sweetness. Not what I expected but pretty nice. Easy drinking.

I ordered the LBA (Light Brown Ale) 4.6% which pours a cola brown with a beige-tinted head of foam. The aroma is roasty chocolate and toasted oats. Again a hit of buttery diacetyl detracts and this isn’t hopped enough to hide it. The taste is chocolate syrup, sweet buttery caramel and roastiness. Riding the line between passable and messed up and leaning towards the latter.
