(Can) Pours slightly hazy amber with big off white head. Aroma is pretty subtle - a bit peppery. Good mouthfeel - medium bodied with plenty of soft bright carbonation. There’s hops throughout the palate with a good bitter finish. There’s some caramel malt behind this. I get hints of tangerine. Very drinkable.

Tap at Craft Beer Server Land. Cloudy golden, not much head. Taste is citrusy, bit of biscuit, light bitterness. Aroma is malty, light hops. Perfectly nice if a little unexciting.

Canned, 330 ml, shared with JFK10000 and Miro. Pours orange, white head. Stinks a bit, malty, floral notes, caramel. Light bodied, drinkable but that’s it.

Hidatakayama’s Pale Ale on tap at Takumiya. It pours a glowingly vibrant copper color with fruity pine needles aroma. The taste is clean caramel biscuit, grape and a light bitterness. More English than American but solidly done, not too sweet and well balanced. It grew on me and went down smooth.

Draught at Eni-brau in Osaka. A very fruity, smooth, and mild version of a pale ale. Medium caramel malt richness, with bready taste, medium to light hops, bubble gum. Good balance, with just enough hops. Super smooth. Very well done and understated.

Medium shiny offwhite creamy head. Very light brown body. Light fruity hop aroma. Dry, watery fruity hop taste. Very mild and clean, maybe a bit too clean. Tastes like lager. (0.35l on draft.)
