Tap at Gremlin. Strong sourness, but nice enough. Quite fruity, grapefruit, gooseberry, lemon. Refreshing. Very teeth coating. Bit of lemon sherbert. Fairly low carbonation but the prickle really helps give it some life. Aroma is a little stinky and it's really really cloudy and murky.

Someone said this smells like a bunch of pennies and I have to agree. Sour with Lactic notes. Sour, but really unpleasant.

Nozawa Sour 3.5% On tap at Mikkeller it pours a weird milkshake looking Yakult milkiness. The nose is very cheesy, pungent, peach. The taste is lactic, cheese, baby sick. Yuck. Seems this keg was fucked one of the grossest beers I’ve ever attempted to drink and everyone around me agreed this was off yet it continued to be sold and I wasn’t offered something else. Mikkeller Bar should know better than to sell this, return it to the brewery and let them know it is way way off which can happen with wild beers.

Rerate as this is a totally different beer from the fall. Tap at Mikkeller for the AJB tap-takeover. Pours a clear straw with a finger of champagne like head that lingers. Light gooseberry notes alongside aloe with some lacto notes. Crisp and clean on the palate, but a light chalky yeast flavor on the finish. Much improved from the fall and would be great in summer. Not overly sour either, crisp, clean and tart. Refreshing. Old Rating: Tap at Gremlin. Pours a murky orange/brown with a tiny ring of foam that lingers throughout. Lacto aromas with some light peach and yogurt. Body is medium to full with an average to soft carbonation. Tart with lots of yogurt and lacto notes on the palate. A lacto bomb to be honest. Not bad, but still needs some work. --- Beer merged from original tick of Nozawa Sour on 22 Nov 2015 at 17:39 - Score: 7
