Tap at the brewery. Fruity and nutty, lots of malt. Not so exciting. On tap at BrewPub Portland OR, Pours out a mahogany topped with a tan head. Aroma of roast and a little smoke. Tast more of the roast malt and smoke. A touch of the rye on the end. but not much.

Draft. An amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, rye, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and rye bread, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bright, dark amber. Light grainy flavours...light character overall. A little bit fruity. Not much going on here at all, sadly.

Cask at the brewpub (as Dark Dunkel Rye Yo!). Clear nut brown. Appley, lightly roasty nose. Sticky sweet with some mashed apples, no bitterness. Not good.
