Tap at CBM. Aroma is caramel, little bit of chocolate! Taste is caramel maltiness with little bit of peppery spice. Little bit of fruit and a lightly bitter hop finish. Nice.

On tap at the Toyama fest. A nutty caramel aroma. Soft effervescent carbonation on a light body. The taste is earthy bitter and green hoppiness. Nice.

On tap at CBM Koenji. Big caramel aroma with a hint of chocolate on the nose. Some resiny and piney hops present as well but just a hint. Taste is sweet and bitter. Malt-forward amber with only a touch of bitterness on the finish. As it warms up the toffee and brown sugar notes really stand out with a little stone fruit and raisin showing as well. Solid enough amber. --- Beer merged from original tick of Amarillo Amber Ale on 06 Jun 2015 at 15:01 - Score: 7
