Draft at Churchkey. Poured a muddy red color with a small tan head. Aroma was some tart cherry notes, some spice characters. Flavor overall was some light tart cherry skin notes, with some touch of tartness to it. So-so.

05/12 0.375 l bottle@Irreale, Madrid, shared with teddybeer. 2011 bottle. This one had clear copper body with medium sized head. Nice sour yeast and caramel aroma. Sour flavor, vinous, rounded with some caramel and fruity cookies. Quite watery though. Finish was long no matter its thin body, with some fine sour fruity notes. Not bad, but not good enough for the style, too thin.

Bottle @ Irreale. Brown colour with a medium formation of a beige head, minimal duration. Aroma is fruity, with apple notes, sour and citrus traces, slightly toasty. Flavor is sourish with wood and vinous hints. Some berries are also present. Bittery and dry final. Carbonation and body are medium.

Bottle at home. Vintage 2011. Has a pretty hazy brownish red colour with a very frothy big and beige head that fades fast. Nice berry aroma with oak, sour grapes and red currants. Round flavours of leather, oak, sour berries and heather. Slick but sparkly mouthfeel, and a below medium bitterness. An easy-drinking and solid sour ale which is great composed.

Draft @ Cantillon Quintessence 2012. The one without the fruits, apricot coloured with a big tanned head. Snell is sweet berries with some sweet wood, sugar, rather fruity - tastes of sour wood, berries, moldy wood, touch candy, sugars, bitter herbs, murky cherries,... - bit muddled and light stale water, needs to be cleaned out, bit simple - it is the fruits that elevate the other stuff - this is not bad but more of a bit weaker, not entirely finished base beer style - body is a bit on the heavier old bruin side of sours as opposed to the lambics

Rerate: Trouble, ambrée-acajou laissant qcq bulles.

Bottle: Poured a deep reddish color with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of oak with light tart cherries note with a light acidic edge and some sour notes. Taste is a well balanced mix between some oak with good notes of sour cherries with light acidic notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well brewed with nice complexity while retaining a good drinkability level.
