Originally made to accompany a hog roast the Crispy Pig has gone on to earn several awards. With the unmistakable aroma of apples and fruit this is a refreshing, sharp, hoppy bitter

Cask, half pint, shared with Finn at Brass Monkey. Patchy white head, clingy lacing, clear golden-brown body. Mild aroma of apples and and pale malts. Taste of apples, berry fruit and pale malts. Mid-dry ending. Rather thin in-mouth feel. Easy going (Plymouth 22.09.2016).

500 ml bottle, as Hunter’s Crispy Pig Speciality Ale, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4%. Brewed with Boadicea hops and apple essence. Deep golden colour, large white head. Strong aroma of apple essence / apple candy. The flavour is slightly acidic and fruity with notes of apples, but also with distinct hops and a bitter finish. Okay, and something out of the ordinary, but hardly a beer that will be on my priority list to buy again.

Bottle from Budleigh Wines. Hazy deep golden-brown, creamy Off-white head. Malty with fruity hints, Apple of course, Goldings Hops finish. The Iist of ingredients doesnt contain apples, but a touch of apples is definitely present.
