Si tratta di una Double IPA dal corpo medio, per definizione sopra le righe, quasi arrogante. Il nome di questa birra rispecchia appieno il carattere imponente della sua luppolatura aromatica che regala note prevalentemente resinose.
La sua freschezza la rende pericolosamente beverina, mascherando
l’elevata gradazione alcolica!

Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso il fruttato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido appare nuvoloso. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato e articolato. L'amaro non è invasivo. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Al palato arrivano note di miele, cracker, frutta secca, agrumi, spezie, arancia, erbe aromatiche, mandorla fresca e rabarbaro.

Cette Double IPA intégrant Simcoe, Amarillo, Chinook (et d'autres houblons non indiqués) est à la fois racée, saillante avec des densité et intensité aromatique intéressantes. Bonne Double IPA avec un alcool à 8,5% bien taillé. Concernant les arômes, un peu surprenant toutefois avec des propositions quelque peu spéciales avec notamment des touches mentholées et des arômes de myrrhe. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé légèrement voilé et très peu effervescent. Le nez est sur le résineux, l'orange, le pamplemousse, la mangue avec une touche mentholée. L'ensemble fonctionne globalement bien et présente une bonne amertume qui sera bien vive dès l'attaque. Cette dernière est même brillante à souhait en seconde bouche sur des arômes proche du nez. L’arrière-bouche présente des arômes s'apparentant à la myrrhe ne s'intégrant pas entièrement à la proposition aromatique et troublant quelque peu l'ensemble. La corpulence est néanmoins très bonne toute comme la longueur avec un final élancé. On reste donc sur une bonne impression d'une IPA bien taillée.

F: big, off-white, very long lasting. C: gold, hazy, opaque. A: a lot of different tropical fruits, bit blue cheese, pineapple, mango, pine resin. T: malty back bone, earthy, pineapple and others tropical fruits, pine, bit tangerine, bit passion fruits, very good, enjoyed, full body, medium carbonation, 33cl bottle from Brasserie 28 by Caulier in Brussels.

On tap at the excellent Caulier 28 bar, Brussels Central station, Belgium. A hazy golden coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, orange, rich tropical fruit, slightly sweet. Highly drinkable DIPA from Italy.

KØLF 041116. Golden color with an off-white head. Aroma is citrus, malt, hop. Flavor is citrus, malt, hop, caramel, pine. Nice beer.

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is mild foresty, leafs, moss, fresh hops, citrus peel, lawn, pine needles, light malts. Taste is dry grassy, leafs, hops, moss, lawn, dried fruits, bark, citrus peel, soil, light malts. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry grassy mouthfeel. Nice.
