This beer is inspired by traditional German style Bockbeers. Brewed with mostly Munchener malts, a bit of caramel malts and some German Beechwood smoked malt. Fermented with German bottom fermenting yeast. Late and Dryhopped with German Polaris hops and the American Chinook and Simcoe hop varieties.

Tap @Café Louis, Amsterdam. Hazy medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, dissipates slowly, fair lacing Light but distinctive smoked nose, malty, caramel, grass, bit woody. Taste medium sweet and bitter, sweet malts, smoked bacon. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild smoky sweetbitter aftertaste, herbal hoppy notes. Quite nice smoked beer, well-balanced.

Draught @ De La Gare. Clear amber color, full sized off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Smell and taste malts, smoke, a bit sweeter than I had expected. Decent body and carbonation. Not really my thing but a decent beer for sure.

On tap at PINT BBF ’14. Amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of smoke, petroleum, sausage, rubber tires, hops. Weird. Flavour is light sweet, malty, hoppy, again petroleum, smoke, light salty, rubbery, it’s weird and I somehow hope this was off. Will get me a bottle to re-rate. Light to medium-bodied.

On tap @ Arendsnest. Red-brown color, ever so slightly hazy. Nice light beige head, dense, with reasonable retention. Aroma’s: resinous and light smoke from the glass. Smoked, resinous, hopbitter, light herbal retronasal. Flavor is moderate to full bitter with a light sweet backbone. Medium bodied. Dry and long lasting bitter finish. Balanced and tasty, awesome!
