We'd like to introduce quite an exciting addition to our single hop pale range. It's exciting partly because it's only been available this year, but also because of its genetic history. Sabro originates in the mountains of New Mexico, whereas the majority of hops are of European descent. The following article goes into a little bit more detail about the hop, and why that last sentence was exciting, and also how new hop varietals are devised: http://www.washingtonbeerblog.com/introducing-sabro-a-new-highly-anticipated-hop-variety/ Anyway, the important bit, what's it like? It carries a very distinct flavour profile that brings a lot of stone fruit and orange-led citrus, but also a curious mix of coconut in the aroma and a herbal quality in the flavour. It's a very interesting beer and I'm livid we only managed to secure enough for a couple of brews, enjoy this one whilst it lasts!
