Wir wagen deshalb auch einen stolzen Blick zurück – und entschließen uns zu einem heiß ersehnten Comeback: Das Distel ist wieder da! Genießen Sie ein helles, edles Spezialbier, in dem wir alles vereinen, was auch damals schon gut und wichtig war: handwerkliche Braukunst, Rohstoffe aus der Region und ein erfrischend echter, grundehrlicher Geschmack mit fein abgestimmter Malznote.
Da merkt man, dass wir unser Handwerk verstehen. So wie damals, im Jahr 1962.

*Old rating. Best before 02/12. The beer is malty-grainy. Nice Helles with not too much bitterness. Round and typical.

0,33 l bottle, good looking old school label art design. Pours out clear golden in the glass, big white head. Sweet grainy on the nose. Starts with malt and grain, little bit hop herb. More than average carbonation.

Bottle from pivnizub, many thanks. Golden color with medium white head. Srong malty aroma. Biscuit malty taste with grassy hops. Light hoppy bitterness in malty finish. OK.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, würzig, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, getreidig, leichte Bitterkeit.

Bottled 330ml. -Yellow/golden coloured, small creamy white head, just few tiny bubbles of carbonation, weak grainy caramel nose. The taste is almost the same, weak grainy, some caramel and cardboard with short dusty finish. Not good. Bad batch or???

330ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour with average, firm, micropore, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, minimally strawy aroma, a minimally sourish touch, a decent spicy hay note. Taste is monotonous, slightly mineralic grainy, a touch of hay, already slightly watery simply fades out.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grainy, salty, with some herbal and quite big grassy notes. Flavour is grassy, floral, some herbal and mild maltyness as well.

Bottled 330ml (BZ, BB 12/2012)
Clear golden color, mostly vanishing white head. Grainy, cardboardish aroma. When warms up, turns bready and more pleasant. Light to medium-bodied. Sweetish, a bit fruity, malty front, some grainy notes. Aftertaste has some moderate bitterness, but this beer is more on the malt side. Flavor is certainly better than aroma. Classified as Märzen here, but more like a classic Helles.

Herb-trockener Beginn. Gering getreidig, das Bier bleibt trocken, selbst die Herbe schwindet dann. Trocken getreidiges Finish. Langweilig und schlecht. 9/5/6/4/5/4

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, mid-sized fluffy white head with a little lace, delicate grainy-grassy nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied. A faint touch of alcohol in the grainy finish. Robust brew, weak aroma...
