This Intergalactical Imperial lager was brewed by Ben (Bridge Road Brewers, 50 Ford Street, Beechworth VIC 3747, Australia) & Urbain @ Struise, as a superb collaborative effort between both breweries and Simply Hops (Hop Pocket Lane, Paddock Wood, Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 6DQ, UK). While Ben shared his Australian Lager brewing techniques, Simply Hops procured us with Fresh Galaxy hop flowers.
Only 4 ingredients were used, Vleteren water, German pilsner malt, Australian Galaxy Hops and Weihenstephan yeast. This lager not only bottom fermented, but also matured on its own bed of C02 for six months.

Bottle from Wittich Onlineshop. Some malt notes over a strong lager aroma that I mostly know from highly industrial beer. Taste is okay, not so lager-y as feared, typically booze-strong though. Matched by good carbonation, which is also necessary. I’m still not impressed, though.

330ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Light hazy yellow golden color with nice white head. Sweet malty aroma, some caramel and honey notes, light grainy, grassy. Sweet and bitter like aroma with citrusy fruity notes. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle in Brugge Dec 2015. Clear golden pour with a huge white head, luckily the glass was large otherwise it would have been two pours. This is a decent lager/pilsner on steroids, refreshing and alcoholic with a slightly floral aroma and taste.

Absolutely opaque golden orange brew, with a vigurous head. Smells like Belgian yeast and generally like a Belgian pale ale. Bitter pilsner-like taste, with a metallic taste and yeast all the way. Medium body and a bit high on carbonation, making this a bit tough to swallow. Decent, overall.

Bottle. Golden color. Aroma of grainy pale malt and biscuit, not very interesting. Taste of grainy malt, grassy hop and lots and lots of co2. Why is this so carbed up? Could be hoppier as well.
