Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, fruchtig.

500ml bottle. Filmy amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Grainy aroma with fruity hints of red berries, a herbal, earthy, woody touch of moss, mushrooms, etc. Taste is minimally sweet and tart fruity, hints of red berries, cranberry, lingonberry and the like, minimally astringent, dry hints of their parings, cautious hints of coniferes. Not really exciting, but done with care and precision and surely a paradigmatic Rotbier.

Bottle:Hazy, loose "dirty" white head, the beer is reddish-amber coloured, the nose is malty and bitter, a certsin fruitiness (presumably traces of infection) is detectable, too; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; malty and bitter finish with a certain acidity. Not convincing, probably infected…

50 cl bottle, BB 18/8/13, if I read the label correct. Deep amber color, frothy beige head. Rye bread, nuts and spicy aroma. High carbonation, sprizy, crisp mouthfeel. Flavor has rye bread, malt, hops and some spicy notes. Fnish is long, sweetish and ha bread here as well. Not a bad beer, quite simple, guessing it might have been a popular beer at the wedding.

(bottle) Hazy, copper colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Rather discreet aroma of cara-malt with slightly fruity notes and a tinge of spicy hops. Slightly sweet flavour, quite light bodied with a modest carbonation. Slim cara-malt character with subtle fruity notes; sweet and slightly bitter finish with a tinge of metal. Not really convincing. 20.VI.13
