Dunkler, getreidig malzig-trockener Antrunk. Geringe, weitestgehend konstante Bitterkeit, das Ganze wirkt als wäre Süßstoff beigegeben. Minimal röstig, leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Okay. 9/9/8/9/9/9

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Starts mild, light sourish, malty-earthy. Light roasty hints. Well balanced finish, soft-malty. Quite drinkable. Nice one!

500ml bottle [due to bartlebier’s serendipity and cordial relinquishing, thank you very much!]. Clear, hazelnut brown colour with huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly bready, nuttily malty aroma, "leafy" hoppy overtones, a touch of tobacco, moss, rotting wood. Taste is minimally nuttily malty with subtle toffee sweetness, an earthy chestnut touch, slightly grassy and "leafy" hoppy overtones with a fresh, lemon-like touch. Well balanced, earthy - genuine Dunkel interpretation.

More depth of flavor with the expected maltiness: caramel and coffee. Now it is just a good beer.

(bottle) Slightly hazy, dark brown colour with a big and beige foamy head. Toast-malty and slightly ashy aroma with hints of caramel, cacao and shy herbal hops. Moderately sweet and bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Pleasantly toasted malty taste with distinctive notes of chocolate and mildly herbal accents; slightly sweet, toasty and mildly hop bitter finish with a chocolatey aftertaste. Aromatic Dunkel. 08.II.12

Bottle ( big thanks to Quack-Duck!): Amber to deep-amber coloured, a bit unclear, big creamy to rocky off-white head, dryish toasty-fruity nose with a hoppy background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, quite full bodied for a beer of 5.1%; lingering soft nutty and fruity-toasty finish with a nice balancing hoppy "tail". Another goody from this excellent brewery…

bottle from the brewery. Deep brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Malty aroma with hints pine. Medium-bodied, intensively malty with dry roasted malts, hints of caramel and dark chocolate. Smooth and velvety palate. Well crafted beer, delicious.
