Thuis uit een flesje. Zwart bier, met bruin schuim. Goed aroma, o.a. chocolade. Romig in de mond, ook chocolade. Zowel zoet als bitter. Erg goed.

33 cl. bottle @ Rick, shared with Suus. Bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Pitch black with a very small beige head. Roasted malts with tones of chocolate and most of all coffee. Taste is rather sweet and mouthfeel is very smooth, probably because of this. Nice imperial stout, safely within every border of the style but very enjoyable.

Last of the Secret Santa haul. Thanks Benzai! Dark brown to black with a creamy tan head that lingers. Aroma is dark chocolate, licorice, prunes. Taste is tart and bittersweet with the tartness taking the upper hand at the end, leaving an aftertaste of red currant and licorice. Warming and boozy as well. Body is medium, carbonation is mild. Pretty good.

Almost black color, coffee foam. Aroma: caramel, cream, a little cold coffee, slightly burnt, roasted malt. Taste: caramel, burnt sugar, a bit of chocolate, a burnt pie crust, bitter finish, light creamy.

Tried at Van Moll, Eindhoven. Big coffee and chocolate aroma with citrus hints. Off black colour with a thin tan head. Taste mainly bitter. Smooth body.
