0.33 l bottle from ’Slijterij Van Bergen’, best before July 2017, cellared for about one year. Black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, hazelnut, licorice, vanilla and some coffee. Rather sweet, malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla, licorice, some coffee and a touch of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, a bit earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite tasty, too sweet though, overall a very decent Imperial Stout.

330ml bottle, from trade with Benzai. Many thanks! Pours dark, large tan head. Aroma is smoky, roasty. Taste presents a fair helping of roasted malts, lightly smoky, some dried dark fruits, drying finish. S’alright.
