Tap(@Alt Ohligs Brauhaus):Golden, clear, rocky and stable white head, lazy carbonation; sweetish-grainy nose with strawy hops; moderate dry bitter flavour, lacks a malty body, light bodied and not really soft; papery traces in the quite dry bitter finish. Not much better than a german mass-market Pilsener…

On tap at the Brewpub. Klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner cremigen Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, malzig, getreidig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, getreidig, erfrischend.

Angenehm herb hopfiger Antrunk, der leider schnell von einer Metallnote unterbrochen wird. Im Mittelteil ist dieses Fehlaroma wieder verschwunden, der Hopfen wird stärker und gefällt mit grasigen Noten. Hopfig herber Ausklang. 11/7/11/10//9

Draught at the brauhaus
Blond color with compact head. The aroma is just a bit buttery. The malt flavor is quite good, with some bread, cereals, hay; smooth mouthfeel, with nice body structure; the bitterness is correct, and it has a light grassy accent. Long final.
Good Pils.

a) 25. July 2013. On tap at the brewpub.
The beer starts a bit sweet and watery. The mainpart is for my taste a it too neutral and sweet, only slightly bitter and not typical for a pils. The aftertaste is not too long, nearly no hops, sweet and a bit malty. --> doesn’t taste like a pils, but has a very high drinkability. 8/7/7/6

b) 5. November 2014. On tap at the pub.
This beer also seemed to be improved. Nice full and slightly sweetish body. Nicely bittered in the mainpart, quite sweetish-grainy but still fine. The aftertaste is nice intense bitter with a sweetish-grainy and "souther-German Pils-style" body. Not too bad! --- Beer merged from original tick of Gräfrather Hofbräu Pils on 05 Feb 2023 at 21:47 - Score: 6. Original review text: On tap at the pub.
