Tap(@Alt Ohligs): Ruby-amber coloured, clear, creamy and very stable off-white head; moderate caramelly-toasty nose, mild hops in the background; dryish but mild bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and soft; slightly lingering toasty and bitter-chocolatey finish. Nothing wrong with it, perhaps a bit too malt-accented…

11/11/12/11//11

Draught at the brauhaus
Dark chestnut color with creamy head. Mild aroma of roasted malts, dark caramel, very light butter. Roasted malt flavor, a touch ashy, with apparent yeast traces; strong bitterness.
Solid, but not my favorite Alt.

Brewed somewhere in Bavaria. On tap at the pub. The beer starts malty and slightly sweet. The body is full and slightly roasted. A bit dry. not too sweet. The aftertaste is roasted, probably a bit too sweet, but very nice. --> a great Altbier! 12/12/11/12 --- Beer merged from original tick of Rheinisches Alt on 05 Feb 2023 at 21:43 - Score: 7.
