On tap. Pours a cloudy light brown color. Aroma of malt and roasted malt. Medium body, short bitter finish, very balanced.

On tap at the Brewpub. Trübes orangebraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, fruchtig. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, leicht schokoladig, frisch, süffig.

Metallisch karamelliger Beginn mit bitteren Beinoten. Die Bitterkeit wird stärker, das Bier trockener. Geringe Intensität. Angenehm malziger Ausklang. Naja.. 12/9/8/8//8

Ordered a half liter served in German lager mug. Deep copper/amber with fluffy, creamy thick head. Rich and flavorful, went well with the German fare offered here. Toasty, roasted grains evident, hints of chocolate and coffee, but very smooth, not bitter.

Tap at brewery. Musty cherry malt aroma. Hazy dark amber color with a small head. Caramel malt flavor with a dry grassy hops finish. Very hoppy for a dunkel - very nice.
