Bottle. Dark brown with an ok white/beige head. Aroma of cherries, caramel and a litt bit of coffee. Taste of cherries, malts, coffee, caramel and metal. Slightly herbal, sweet and sour-ish. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Not bad but not really convincing either.

0,5 l bottle Thanks to my son Nils for organizing. Pours out very dark red brown. Contains E 150. One finger foamy beige head. Decent malty on the nose. Taste starts with roasted mal, hints of sourness and salt, metallic. Dry palate. Low carbonated. Not really quaffable. Maybe thats why they are drinking this beer with booze in the Hannover area?

Fresh, not too deep. Easy to drink, but the Gilde-beer is a bit deeper. Fresh, malty, hints of bitterness.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark, almost black, small head. Starts mild, some fruity hints. Finishstill mild, drier, more roasty. Nice!

The head is medium, the body black. It smells a bit hoppy and chocolate. The taste is brownie, creamy, a bit chocolate, dry.

(bottle, with special thanks to Stöpsel & Indy of Biertest-online.de) Clear, mahogany colour with a thick, but not long persistent beige foamy head. Intense, but moderately sweet aroma of dark, roasted malt, which reminds me of german Malzbonbons, rounded up with hints of spicy herbal hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, slim bodied, but definitely not watery, well-carbonated mouthfeel. Dark malty, slightly roasted taste with caramel and liquorice; slim and almost dry malty, minimal bitter finish. Surprisingly aromatic according to the low ABV. Very interesting brew. Lüttje Lagen is an old specialty brew, originated in the area of the city of Hannover. Usually it has to be drunk simultaneously with a jigger of Kornbrand, but I left out the latter.
