500 ml bottle, 7% abv. Clear copper with a foamy head. Caramel, iron, roasted malt, tobacco, raisins, again iron and resin, dry bitter hops. Malty boozy sweetness, metallic bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry metallic malty bittersweet warming finish. Actually a pretty decent Doppelbock!

Trockener, hell malziger Beginn. Schnell süßer werdend, allerdings nur bis zu einem begrenzten Level. Geringe konstante Herbe, leichte Karamellnoten. Würziger Nachgeschmack mit stärkerer Malzigkeit, weiterhin eher trocken. Der Nachgeschmack hauts nochmal raus. 10/9/10/11/12/10

Süßlich-malziger Antrunk. Karamell, recht süßlich. Malzig-klebrig im Hauptteil, dabei doch recht süffig. Etwas trockeneres Malzbonbon. Kaum Herbe vorhanden, auch nicht zu tief. Nett.

Bottle: Copper coloured, clear, mid-sized stable off-White head; sweetish caramelly-toasty nose, nuts and molasses detectable; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; a faint tinge of alcohol is detectable in the slightly lingering sweet and toasty-grainy finish Unspectacular, easy-drinking Doppelbock...

500ml bottle. Ver nice, clear, deep orangey amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Malty aroma, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet malty, grassy hoppy overtones, delivering in combination a dry green apple note, hints of apple parings; eventually in the finish malty as expectable, even a cautious smoky touch remains on the tongue. Relatively light, not overly malt-accentuated, and easy drinkable for a Doppelbock.

(bottle) Clear, copper to amber colour with a medium-sized and tanned foamy head. Slightly bready malty aroma with pronounced notes of caramel and a whiff of herbal hoppy spice. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a modest carbonation. Robust cara-malty base with bready, delicately nutty and herbal notes; sweet caramelly malty finish with a rounded and slightly bitter herbal hoppy backbone. Balanced and likeable Bock. 02.VI.14

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts strong, intense malty-spicy, light woody notes. Finish light alcoholic, warming. Not bad!
