Draught
A bit hazy orange, small white head. Yeasty, aroma of wheat bread. Dry, reasonably well hoppy and lemony. Carbonated crisp mouthfeel. Good thirst-quincher.

[Flakhaven] A unclear green-orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is faint, but what is there is yeasty. The flavor is malty and rather yeast combined with notes of straw - leading to a dry sweet end. It seems that the yeast used is not the same as the other brewpubs in the chain - or maybe yeast is just fresh? unfortunately I didn’t have the posibility to talk the the brewer.

[Apollo] An unfilteret brewpub speciality that has a very beutiful head and some hoppy taste.

Hazy copper color. The aroma shows a very nice crispy malt and let’s hope for something great; indeed the flavor is not bad (maybe it takes some time to get a rounder mouthfeel), but not exceptional. The thing that disappoints me a bit is the bitterness: quite harsh (too long hop infusion?). Pleasant.

2003-05-14, draught at Copenhagen beerfestival as Sct. Clemens Pilsner, 7-4-5-3-13=32
Golden color, hazy. Nice aroma; some malt and hop, fruity. Too dry taste, not enough malt nor hop. Ordinary palate. Less interesting than the Apollo.

2003-01-07, draught at the Apollo brewpub, 8-5-8-5-16=42
Rather dry taste, with an impressive hop character, not too bitter, but a lot aromatic, and a bit fruity. Compared to Haldemann Dunkles it’s more aggressive and the body weaker, compared to Birrificio Italiano Tipopils it has more malt and less hop, fruiter and less herbal. Maybe too much aggressive with the high carbonation, and still a bit metallic; with less carbonation, it’s sweeter than the Tipopils and the malt is more evidentiated.
When warmer, the score may even be 10/5/9/5/18!

2002-07-14, draught at the Apollo brewpub, 9-5-8-5-16=43
Gold color, thick and generous head. Wonderful and deep hop aroma. Very good mix of malt and hop, good body, rather dry. Good hop palate, well aromatic, medium-long, with a residual sweetness/smoothness.
A surprisingly good pilsner.

Rddish golden appearance. Sweet murky malty aroma. Firm malt character, some drystal malt character. Some bitterness and pleasant hop aromatic finish. Like a pleasant cross between a Franconian kellerbier and a Danish lager.

Cloudy orange amber, tanned creamy head. Yeasty fruity aroma. Light body, slightly fizzy mouthfeel Light malt body, yeasty fruityness, some herbal and aromatic notes, dry bitterhop exit.
