Beim Fosenöchtor handelt es sich, wie es die Endung -tor schon verrät, um einen Doppelbock. Um die 5. Jahreszeit gebührend zu begleiten werde ich den Doppelbock, der ja sonst traditionell eher recht dunkel daherkommt mit einem hellen Gewand verkleiden. Mit seinen angestrebten 35 Bittereinheiten wird er dann wohl eher vollmundig süßlich daherkommen. Um seine Verkleidung zu komplettieren bekommt er noch ein fruchtiges Näslein in Form einer ausgefeilten Hopfenkomposition aufgesetzt. Hierbei kommen Hopfensorten im Lagertank zum Einsatz, die Aromen von unterschiedlichen Früchten haben sollen. Mal sehen, ob es im fertigen Bier möglich ist, all die verschiedenen Fruchtaromen mit dem Riechorgan zu isolieren. Ihr könnt gespannt sein auf die Aromen von Zitrone, Orange, Grapefruit, Maracuja, Litschi, Ananas, schwarze Johannisbeere, Vanille und Zironengras.

Aroma has cereal, malty tones and toffee. Feels sweet. Flavour has cereal, malt, honey, toffee and some mild hoppiness. A DP on the malty and not-so-roasty side. Not exactly my thing but at least drinkability is OK.

1000ml bottle, thanks Timo A. BBE 06/2017. Pours clear orange with a thick foamy white head. Aroma of smoke, grass, hay, malts, orange peel, citrus and spices. Taste is smooth, sweetish and malty with some grass, hay, smoke and citrus. Finish is sweetish, crisp and stingy hoppy with some grass, hay, citrus, hints of smoke and caramel. Okay, quite hoppy.

Orange-goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, malzig, hopfig. Geschmack sehr malzig, fruchtig, hopfig, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, lacing off-white head. Fruit, apples, tropics, grassy notes, with a typical good wallop of smokyness - hay, oak, peat. Fullbodied, mellow and sparkly, grassy light burned finish, orangepeel retronasal. Breaks the mold for sure, and in a good way.

Taste is the best aspect of this beer, with appearance a close second. Smell is light malt , hops, citrus and hay, but taste is crisp and sharp, with nice smooth hops bitterness in the finish. Overall mouthfeel is medium and slick. Seasonally produced and organic too, try to get your hands on a bottle if you can.

Heller, wenig süßer Antrunk. Leichte Herbe, spritzig hopfig, süffig, deutlich trocken am Ende. Hell witzig, sehr weich. 9/11/11/8//10
