This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

(Keg at William K Kurvi, 20130618) The beer poured golden and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had citricness, fruitiness, ground coriander and malts. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, caramell, malts, Belgian style yeast, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A quite cofusing wit: the aroma was somewhere there but the taste was from some othet style.

On tap at Christian Firtal. Cloudy pale yellow with a lasting white head. Yeasty aroma with perfumed spices, lots of ginger. Dry and spicy flavour, simply too much. Quite a bit of yeast in the aftertaste

On tap @ Beer Temple. Pale blonde color, cloudy. Sticky white head. Aroma’s of wheat, sweet fruit, coriander, slightly hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet with a hint of bitterness. Light bodied, but not thin. Finishes with wheat and eventually a bit dry and slightly bitter. Decent witbier.

Can at the Euston Tap. It pours hazy golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is herbal, aniseed, fennel, spice, citrus and wheat . The taste is earthy, wheat, bitter-sweet, tangy orange peel, coriander, aniseed and spice with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok, but not loving the Sorachi Ace action (as per usual).

Can. Vibrant cloudy golden beer with a strong but soon disappearing airy head. The aroma is lightly citrus and yeasty, and the flavour has dryness and quite a good degree of citrus fruitiness and yeastiness. Overall a nice fruity dry witbier. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Re-rate 4/16: Can sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks David Cohen. Spicy, wheat, a bit of cardboard, a bit citric. Decent. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of cloves upfront, followed by Belgian yeast and candied sugar. Flavour brings out complex clove and Belgian yeast, followed by a touch of candied sugar. Very complex, full of light clove notes. Excellent stuff.

Tap at Mikkeller and Friends. Poured a hazy yellow straw colour with a broken white head. The aroma is of yeast and banana. The flavour is crisp, clean, yeasty and crushed bananas. A super refreshing beer.
