This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

Draught @ Kaisla, Helsinki
Pours dark yellow with a foamy head. Aroma of fruits, spices, hints of bubblegum. Taste is fruity and spicy with a touch of yeast, grass and lemony notes. Finish is smooth and mildly fruity with some spices and hops. Probably one of the first Sorachi Ace beers I’ve tried where it actually fits in quite nicely.

Very hazy gold beer, thin white head. Semi soft palate turning crisper, a little dry. Mild seltzer minerals. Slightly herby lemon, mild spice. Very mild and mellow ginger. Semi dry finish. Nice flavours here but they are a bit wishy washy and could do with more intensity.

12 oz. can. Hazy, pale gold with a medium, off-white head and a little lacing. Citrus up front, with some cloves, cinnamon, white bread, and a little soy sauce. Very nicely balance citrus sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Light body, clean, and flat. Overall, this is fairly bitter for a witbier, but well made and creative.

15/II/13 - 12Fl. Oz. can from Geers (Oostakker) @ my birthday tasting - BB: n/a (2013-170) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!
Clear pale yellowish beer, small white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, cardamom, lemony, bit artificial, thai basil, some banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: quite some citrus, bit grassy, herbal, some hops. Aftertaste: little bitter, citrus, bit spicy, sure there's absolutely no coriander in it? I would swear there is.
