Bottle from the LCBO. Slightly cloudy deep orangey gold with a small off white head that fades quickly to a sheet and leaves a bit of sparse lace. Nose is pine, grapefruit and orange zest, caramel, honey and some light floral notes. Taste is a medium light sweetness of honey and candied apricot and a much more pronounced medium+ bitterness driven by pine and grapefruit. Medium+ slick body with slightly soft carbonation and a long bitter finish.

35cl bottle. Clear orange pour with a tall and sticky white head. Smells of citrus and tropical fruit hops, as well as pine hop dankness and caramel. Super malty body, bitter-sweet and syrupy, with notes of grapefruit, papaya and pine resin. The alcohol is present, but well incorporated. A very malt-forward IPA, not my favourite way of brewing this style, but it has its strong points.

Bottle from Stone in Asagaya. Pours a clear copper with a small soapy off-white head that lingers throughout. Light aromas of orange, grapefruit and some caramel. Taste is more of the same with an orange marmalade character taking over as it warms up. Average carbonation with a nice bitter finish that lingers. A little sweet but still solid. --- Beer merged from original tick of Maximus on 14 Sep 2015 at 22:46 - Score: 7

Tap. Black Swan, Leeds. Clear amber colour. Thin, tight, lasting, white head. Big, thick, chewy malts. Sweet, grainy and fruity. Big, chewy orange hop bolted on to that. Some spice, along the lines of cinammon or fresh ginger. Taste is soft, sugary sweet. Turns juicy, rich, zesty bitter. Full, smooth, easy drinking mouthfeel. Finishes relatively short bitter, with a spicy, sweet close. Very nice.
