Pours an orangeish-yellow with minimal head that quickly dissipates. The flavor is quite sweet, almost like a Scottish ale. The alcohol is quite apparent in the aroma, though not so much in the flavor. I hope this is a beer that will taste better with age--it’s not that great right now, sorry to say.

750 ml bottle generously shared by Dansting. The pour is a hazed orange golden, with a minimal off white head. The aroma is sweet yeast spice, almost Trippel nose, and additional wood spice, reminded me a bit of cedar wood. The taste is big bright sweet malt, then the fresh wood cedar notes, and a big hot boozy finish. I say cedar, but the wood taste is much more complex than simply cedar. The alcohol is decently well integrated, though jumps out in the finish. Really over the top, though I will say that the 15% abv was well controlled. Having said that, this beer was still pretty over the top for my tastes. Thanks for opening this one Dan.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house, courtesy of Armin. Thanks! A touch hazy, golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Boozy, spirit, herbal woody, light orange citrusy, quite sweet aroma. Tangy, zippy, white grape, somewhat spicy, woody, lemon, orange citrusy, caramel, herbal flavor with some boozy, sweet, woody finish.
