„Aus kühlem Blonden wird heißes Dunkelrotes“ wenn Detmolder Pilsener eine Liaison mit frischem Sauerkirschfruchtsaft, Apfel-, Holunderbeer- und Zitronensaft Zimt, Nelkenaroma und Vitamin C eingeht. Alle Aromen des dunkelrot leuchtenden Glühkirsche sind für sich gut riech- und schmeckbar. Im Antrunk des warmen Wintergetränks verbreitet die Kohlensäure eine prickelnde Erfrischung. Vollmundig verbreiten sich die fruchtig süßen Aromen im Haupttrunk. Im Finale verabschiedet es sich mit einer angenehmen trockenen Herbe.
Die Bräus empfehlen das Glühkirsche im Sommer alternativ eiskalt „on the Rocks!“ Dann setzt ein rosaroter Schaum dem Sommergetränk die Krone auf.

500ml bottle [as Detmolder Glühkirsche]. Clear, ruby colour with average thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, pink-ish head. Sweet-ish, slightly artificial cherry aroma, notes of Haribo Happy Cherries, cherry juice. Taste is sweet, fruity and minimally spicy, notes of cherry, cherry juice, a touch of elderberry and cinnamon. Apo-beeric but tasty.

Bottle, cold. Cherry aroma. Claret colour, pink bubbles. Medium light body, mellow palate. Spicy start, clove on the forefront, fits with the fruitiness, peppery quick finish, sweet but not cloyingly so.

Orangerötliche Farbe, sehr wenig Schaum. Geruch malzig, etwas fruchtig, Kirschsaft. Geschmack sehr süß nach Kirschen, im Abgang dann auch etwas malzig, hopfig.

Süßlich-leicht herber Kirschgeruch. Das Bier startet fruchtig-mild, süßer Kirsch-Lollie mit leicht malziger Herbe im Hintergrund. Nicht zu süß. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang, malzig mit netter Winter-Kirschnote. Gar nicht mal schlecht.

Had this bold cold and warm. The warm version was OK at a cold winternight. The cold version was just weird with its Glühwein spiciness.

Bottle. dark red color with medium stable pink head. Nice lacing. Aroma of cherries, earthy notes. Taste, cherries, cinnamon, clove. Fruity sweet finish with notes of wood. Little bit too sweet for me, but easy drinkable beer.

Bottle looks very christmas-like. Beer in the glass redish, small head. Fruity aroma. Starts mild and fruity like cherry. Modest dry background. Finish woody-fruity, still mild. Interesting.

Kirschiger Antrunk, ein wenig hohl, die Süße ist angenehm. Sehr sehr leicht herb, zum Ende merkt man immerhin, dass es ein mit Bier gemischtes Getränk ist. Ansonsten unspektakulär. Könnte auch ein erfrischendes Sommer- anstatt eines Wintergetränks sein. 6/6/7/7/8/4

Deep ruby color, small pinky head. Strong sweetish cherry aroma, feels fresh, not artifical. Medium-bodied. Average carbonation. Very sweet and cherry-fruity with no bitterness or sourness. This is really like drinking cherry juice concentrate. Not really "a beer", almost like a Glühwein!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Rucby red colour with small off-white head. Aroma is cinnamon, cherry pips and nuts. Flavour is cherry, cinnamon, cherry pips and some spices. Germans complain, but I would say this is the perfect clone of Lindemans Kriek or a similar kriek with some slight spices, hence, I love Lindemans Kriek, so I can’t give this bad points.
