0.5 l bottle from 'Getränke Hilgers', best before February 2025. Slightly hazy, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and raisins. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity taste of caramel, cocoa, toasted nuts and raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little tart, minimally roasty finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty beer, like an amped-up version of their Alt.

1l bottle. Deep intense malty beginning. Thick, rich and malty. Not too sweetish, bitter, deep. Long thick rich malty dry caramelly aftertaste. Intense, deep fascinating.

Tap: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized and lacy “dirty” head; dark malt, herbal hops and sweet dried berries and caramel in the nose, traces of yeast presumably detectable; pretty solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, creamy MF; lingering herbal-hoppy and sweet-fruity finish. A well balanced and moreish Alt…

Deutlich karamellmalziger Beginn, steigende Schokoladennoten. Im Mittelteil würziger, wobei ein Hopfenaroma deutlich erkennbar ist. Dieses bleibt auch in Nachgeschmack erhalten. Leicht vergoren fruchtig. 12/10/11/11//11
