Our brewing history begins with this beer. And the history of strong beer in Bavaria – it was the Paulaner monks who invented this bottom-fermenting double bock. We have been brewing the Salvator for over 375 years – always according to the original recipe, which has been continuously refined over the years. The head is the colour of caramel and the beer is chestnut brown, combined with a seductive flavour of chocolate to give a pleasing intensity on the palate. Along with this comes the finest Munich malt, rounded off by a light note of hops in the background. Often imitated but never duplicated: The father of all double bock beers, whose names always end in “-ator”!

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear amber with small off white head which mostly dissipates. Its certainly a malty brew with notes of caramel, brown bread, brioche, nuts, faint fruity sap. Medium bodied, slick, moderate bitterness. Quite tasty.

Grumsete, uklar amber med lys beige topp som daler raskt, legger seg som et slør over glasset. Aroma; malt, karamell, treverk. Svak aroma. Smak; whisky, eik, malt, mørk sirup, noe røkt i ettersmak. Svak aroma, men smakfull og balansert smak, middels lang ettersmak. Dagligvarehandel - Berlin.

Servida en pinta, color ámbar oscuro, espuma beige claro de no muy larga retención. En nariz aromas de malta tostada, caramelo, pan negro. En boca es de cuerpo medio, pero algo más ligera de lo que yo esperaba. El primer trago entra bastante sobrio, con matices dulces y maltosos, notas de frutas secas, y pan de centeno. Final ligeramente amargo. Rica
