Our brewing history begins with this beer. And the history of strong beer in Bavaria – it was the Paulaner monks who invented this bottom-fermenting double bock. We have been brewing the Salvator for over 375 years – always according to the original recipe, which has been continuously refined over the years. The head is the colour of caramel and the beer is chestnut brown, combined with a seductive flavour of chocolate to give a pleasing intensity on the palate. Along with this comes the finest Munich malt, rounded off by a light note of hops in the background. Often imitated but never duplicated: The father of all double bock beers, whose names always end in “-ator”!

Dunkler Doppelbock, mit 18,3 % und 7,9 % Alk. Geruch Malz, Karamel, Alkohol. Geschmacklich findet sich das auch, zusätzlich etwas Traubensaft und eine leicht röstige Note. Recht anständiger Doppelbock.

Extremely strong maltiness imeddiatly on nose. Amber color,off-white head,moderate resistance. Alcohol feeling shows after. No hoppiness as expected. Moderate body, medium carbonation. Sweetness and maltiness all over the way.

Dark brown with a thin head. Aroma of woody earth notes, toasted malt. Taste has dark smoked notes, earth and malt. Palate has spiced malt notes, smoke on the nose. Good.

Cerveza potente de Paulaner. De color ambar oscuro, con destellos rojizos. Espuma compacta de color marfil, de duración escasa. Aromas intensos a malta y caramelo.
El sabor tira más a lo dulce, donde domina la malta tostada y toques a caramelo. Final alcohólico y potente regusto. Carbonatación media-baja.
