Black Magic Woman is a Stout.
Black Magic Woman is our interpretation of a unique stout with peat-smoked malt. This is a real “man’s beer”, with a lot of everything. It is brewed with roasted barley malts, birch-smoked malt, peat-smoked malt, caramel malts and ale malt. It is well-hopped in order to balance the hearty malt profile. Black Magic Woman is an excellent accompaniment to desserts, dark chocolate, strong cheeses. It is also allowed to drink it on its own, while relaxing in a good armchair watching a football match.

Mørk brun farge med brunrødt skum. Lukter røkt kjøtt, bål og alkohol. God og fyldig i smak og man kjenner alkoholvarme. Medium karbonert.

Sort med lys brunt skum. Mørk bitter sjokolade og litt røyklukt. Bitter sjokoladesmak. Lite bitter og lite kullsyre.

500 Ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours jet black with a dark black two finger head. Nose is dominated by chocolate with some dark fruits, coffee and smoke. Smoke is more evident in the taste along with the sweet chocolate with vanilla and some bitter coffee in the background which continues to a bitter finish. Mouth is medium and silky with soft carbonation.

Really comes together well. Roastiness and smoke, with dark chocolate, light hint of caramelized malt and nut. Booze well-disguised. Smoked peat malt is super prominent - if anything a touch too much, but this is just imperfection. Pours black with thick mocha head and carpet lacing. Soft carbonation. Medium bitter, smokey and dark chocolate finish. Trying to get a sense of the birch smoked part the bottle mentions - I’m sure it’s something subtle in there. Wonderful. Bottle from licbo.

Fyldig lett røykt lukt med preg av mørk malt, humle, røykt spekeskinke, kaffi, mørk sjokolade, lakris, svidd gummi. Sødmerik lett "tynn" smak med preg av mørk malt, humle, askebeger, sukker, kaffi, mørk sjokolade, vanilje. God bitterhet som set litt. Grei.

Tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Poured a dark mahogany with a broken tan head. The aroma is all about the coffee. The flavour is big liqourice and dark chocolate. The palate is surprisingly smooth. For the ABV the alcohol does not dominate.

Ket at Fermentorem - Copenhagen. Pours oily black with a moderate, creamy tan cap. Dark chocolate nose, chalky roast, burnt sugars. Medium to big sweet flavor, baking cocoa, light smoked meat. Full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Light dry chocolate finish, good roast, some meat, charred malts. Nice stuff overall.
