Black Magic Woman is a Stout.
Black Magic Woman is our interpretation of a unique stout with peat-smoked malt. This is a real “man’s beer”, with a lot of everything. It is brewed with roasted barley malts, birch-smoked malt, peat-smoked malt, caramel malts and ale malt. It is well-hopped in order to balance the hearty malt profile. Black Magic Woman is an excellent accompaniment to desserts, dark chocolate, strong cheeses. It is also allowed to drink it on its own, while relaxing in a good armchair watching a football match.

Bottle thx to benzai. Opaque black with a huge, chunky brown head. Smells some chocolate, roasted malts.. Little to no smell. Tastes roasty, chocolate, some coffee, some liquorice. The taste is quite nice, but the carbo ruins it a bit for me.. Beers like this are better when they are smooth and silky. This beer has lots and lots of carbo though. Like we say in Northern Brabant: zund.

Draught @ Gastropub Nordic. Rated on 08.08.2009 Aroma has licorice, coffee, some toffee and hints of herbs. Flavour has slightly salty licorice, some coffee and dark chocolate. Smooth, rich and nice!

Draught @ Pikkulintu Aroma has pannukahvi (coffee), some sweetish cocoa notes and licorice. Also some herbs. Flavour has lots of salty licorice, some herbs, hay and ash. Also some Turkish coffee and tobacco. Nowadays this is too salty for me - just like 50% of imperial stouts. Not the saltiest I’ve had though, the coffee notes are nice.
