Black Magic Woman is a Stout.
Black Magic Woman is our interpretation of a unique stout with peat-smoked malt. This is a real “man’s beer”, with a lot of everything. It is brewed with roasted barley malts, birch-smoked malt, peat-smoked malt, caramel malts and ale malt. It is well-hopped in order to balance the hearty malt profile. Black Magic Woman is an excellent accompaniment to desserts, dark chocolate, strong cheeses. It is also allowed to drink it on its own, while relaxing in a good armchair watching a football match.

Draught @ 3 Små Rum on September 26. Pours black with a thick mocha head. Smell is slightly sweet with hints of roasted malts and coffee. Taste is rather sweet and dominated by smoked malts. Aftertaste is peaty with some coffee. The hops leaves you with a dry taste in your mouth.

A deep dark stout with a thick frothy lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light smokey character, dark fruits, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from Bièropholie, 2011... BB April 23 2021!!

Väldigt mörk, närmast svart. Lågt skum som snart försvunnit helt. Doften är rökig som en rökig whisky. I doften finns torv, tjära, katrinplommon och söt piptobbak. Smaken är också lätt rökig men andra intensiva smaker som choklad, kaffe, torkad frukt matchar upp bra. Kanske aningen för bränd smak. Ganska syrlig med en lite oljig känsla i munnen. En riktigt god öl som jag väntar mig mycket av om ett par år.

Bottle @ Pannuhuone, Kuopio. Originally rated on 8.5.2010. Nice imperial stout with notes of roasted malts, chocolate and smoke. 8-4-8-4-14 =3.8
Re-rated on 26.10.2011 Draught @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a foamy sticky head. Aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malts and hints of smoke. Taste is quite roasty with nice chocolate notes and hints of coffee. Smooth, slightly roasty finish. Good, well balanced imperial stout.

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a big lasting brown head. Aroma of roasted and smoked malt, dark dried fruit, coffee. Taste is roasted malt, smoke, sweet dark dried fruit, raisins and plums, light booze. Full body, low carbonation, warming finsih from the alchohol. Very good stout 220110

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Black body with a diminishing beige head. Aroma of dark malt, coffee, roast and some alcohol. Flavor is refreshing and sweet at the same time, sweet malt, coffee, dark chocolate and hops. The aftertaste is long, roasted and bitter with a hint of the acidity you might find in coffee. Delicious.

Bottle. Pours nicely black with a tan head. Lots of peated smoke. The dry smokyness is more similar to whiskey BA beer than german smoked, however I miss some of the whiskey heat and complexity.
