Pils is de meest gedronken biersoort van Nederland. Vaak wordt de term bier gebruikt als men pils bedoelt. Pils is met 5% alcohol de ‘standaard’ binnen de verschillende biersoorten. Het is een ondergistend bier, wat betekent dat voor het gisten lage temperaturen en speciale ondergisten nodig zijn. Deze ondergisten kunnen bij lage temperaturen alcohol vormen. Pils kenmerkt zich vooral door een grote helderheid, een goudgele kleur, een witte schuimkraag en een aangenaam bittere smaak.

Bottle. Grainy malty aroma with straw, hint of grassy noble hop. Flavour is moderate bitter with low sweetness, finishes a bit dry. Light body, could be better. Unremarkable Pils.

Helder lichtgeel bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaakis bitter hoppig en hel licht zoet kruidig met iets van graan en gras. Goed.

Brewery tap. Looks good in its own glass. Pale blonde, with a firm head. Cellar aroma. Cellar flavors, malty, flowery hopbitter. Hints of butter. Soapy sulphury finish. Needs a bit longer lagering period, I suppose.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, light malt, metallic notes and light hops. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt. Flavour is fruit, malt, hay, hint of hop. Medium to thin body. Boring beer.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, pale golden beer with a white head. wet cardboard, pale malts and some fruits on the nose. Dry, medium body fullness and flavors of pale malts and some fruits. Some bitterness detected, but not sufficient. Drinkable and boring. Nothing more. 091024

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a small white head. Dry grassy and mild citrusy. Bitter and light grassy flavoured. Mild citric finish.
