Keg at Hanssens Brauerei, Flensburg. Hazy amber, small head. Butterscotchy grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Butterscotchy caramel, mild grapefruit. Mid bitter finish.

Tap at brewpub. Hazy amber colour, small beige head. Sweet, hoppy, yeasty aroma. Medium-bodied. Hops, some fruits, caramalt, sugars. Not A brown ale.

Draught at the brewpub. Weak caramelly aroma. Cloudy light brown colour. OK creamy stable off-white head. The flavour has a weak caramelly note and a fairly astringent bitterness. A little bread in the finish.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish grassy, weeds, grass, sap, yeast, minerals, caramel malts, hay, bark, body lotion, butterscotch. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, yeast, hay, caramel malts, sap, body lotion, paper, grass. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh grassy mouthfeel. Meh! This has nothing to do with a brown ale...

At Hansens Brauerei, Flensburg. Hazy orange color, average sized white head. Smell and taste wheat, sweetish, ripe fruits. Doesn’t strike me as a brown ale at all. Not bad though.

On tap at the brewpub. Trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch aromatisch hopfig, fruchtig malzig. Geschmack mild hopfig, fruchtig, ein Hauch von exotischen Früchten.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours cloudy amber with airy but stable off-white head. Rather unclean aroma of malt and yeast with some disturbing sourish notes. Sourish flavour with notes of hops and yeast and malty touches. Hints of fruit. Bitterish aftertaste with acidic notes. Watery despite medium to hogh carbonation. Not very impressive.
