Michels Das Dunkle, frische Flasche von REWE, Niederorschel. - Trübes Rotbraun; reichlich Schaum. - In der Nase matte karamellige und brotige Züge ohne jede Tiefe und blasse, zart seifige Fruchtigkeit. - Antrunk leicht und blaß dunkelmalzig mit schwachen Röstnoten (Brotkruste), Nuß und feiner Karamelsüße. Verwaschene Frucht, Anklänge an Trockenobst. Gut rezent, wäßrig. Im Abgang sehr milde Hopfenherbe. - Eigenartig blasses, verwässertes Dunkles, dem der solide Malzkörper und eine nennenswerte Hopfung fehlt und das deswegen von dünner Fruchtigkeit dominiert wird. Schmeckt erst mit dem Wärmerwerden besser. (6.9.2022.)

Bottle from Bierothek, Erfurt. Hazy brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 110817

Leicht trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Der Geruch ist säuerlich malzig, Karamell. Der Geschmack ist karamellig, leicht röstmalzig, gering fruchtig, wenig säuerlich.

Brown in the glass with a beige head. Absolutely awful in the nose (something between womit and moulded fruit). The beer - beside the nose - is quite drinkable. It starts malty-smooth, hints of chestnut, beechnut, roasted caramel. The aftertaste is smooth, long, intense and malty-dry with a nice caramel-tone and nearly no bitterness.
If you close your nose, it is not too bad :) 5/12/10/10

Many thanks for this bottle to kappldav123. Nice caramel notes on the nose. Pours amber color with a small khaki head. Rounded malt notes on the tongue.

Bottle bought at the brewery. Looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice creamy head. Starts fine malty, modest roasty, not too intense. Fine hints of caramel. Also some fruity hints of plum. Finish well balanced, spicy-malty, quite drinkable. A good one!
