Double Rice India Pale Ale. This gold colored West Coast style Double India Pale Ale has an intense hop nose, with aromas mainly of citrus. The high hop character dominates this IPA’s flavor profile. Made with American long grain rice, it is quite difficult to make but the rice contributes to this beer’s crisp aftertaste.

Several draft glasses @ Délirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels. This beer rocks. Dorée finement trouble, col blanc épais. Arôme de riz est bien présent donnant ce côté de grains presque comme le rice-crispies. Le tout est suivit par un très beau bouquet aromatique de citron et houblon alternant sur des notes tropicales. En bouche, retrouve là une DIPA de bonne facture rehaussée par l’usage de riz qui donne un palais plus épais. Le profile de bouche reste bien sec avec ce côté épais du riz. Devient légèrement collant sur la fin avec presque une impression de barrique. Palais conserve une bonne présence houblonnées fruitées d’agrumes. Un vrai régal qui se déguste lentement avec un alcool traître vu la facilité à boire cette bière.

Draught @ Craft Beer Co., 82 Leather Lane, London, Greater London, England EC1N 7TR.Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, fruity, orange - citrus, alcohol, fruity sake. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sake notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20120115]

Draught. Yellowish orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is candy, sugar, alcohol, herbs and some fruityness. Flavour is caramel, toffee, earth, fruits, berries and gluelike alcohol.

Aroma is fruity with lots of sweet fruit candy, some mango and peach. Flavour is somewhat messy and stale with hops and peach. Also some plastic-like savor. Finishes with some strawberries. A bit weird, but not bad still.

Growler @ home, courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks a ton! JetsonFest II. Clear, golden orange appearance with an off-white head. Super potent, highly piney, resiny hoppy, huge garlic, very herbal, mango, incredibly intensely hoppy aroma. Big herbal piney hoppy, big grapefruit/mango citrusy hoppy, onion, very rich flavor. The aroma seemed over the top, but it was good nonetheless.

(Draught at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, 20120515) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had citricness, grapefruit, mango and malts. Palate was medium bodied, crisp and fizzy with highish carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, alcohol, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, boozy and bitter. Very tasty but the alcohol was too forward.

Pours dark golden yellow with a smooth head. Aroma of fruity hops, malts and spices. Taste is quite malty with some fruits and herbal notes. Finish is malty, crisp and slightly bitter with some sticky fruitness. A bit unbalanced DIPA.

Draught @Viisi Penniä, Helsinki. Poured hazy light amber with a thin, lacing white head. Intense hoppy aroma, but also dough and caramel. Flavor has bitter hops, caramel and herbs. Weird. Not really my thing, really weird aroma as well.

@Maxx’s TURD Tasting-thanks Max-growler-pours gold with a retaining offwhite head. Aroma is citrus zest, some light malt. Taste is citrus zest-lemon hops, 2nd sweet light malt.
