Double Rice India Pale Ale. This gold colored West Coast style Double India Pale Ale has an intense hop nose, with aromas mainly of citrus. The high hop character dominates this IPA’s flavor profile. Made with American long grain rice, it is quite difficult to make but the rice contributes to this beer’s crisp aftertaste.

23.08.2013, 0,35l bottle (Double Rice India Pale Ale) @ home:
Small creamy longlasting head. Aroma is very fresh, leafs, lots of hops, citrus peel, grass, dried fruits, orange, pine needles. Taste is slightly grassy and fruity, leafs, hops, bark, citrus peel, grass, sap, hints of citrus. Mild longlasting bitterness. Very nice and mild for beeing this high ABV. This is more my king of DIPA than the usual sweet fruity caramel kind of DIPA.

Grei.

(Draught at Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen, 13 July 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, resin and fresh hops. Fruity, malty taste with tropical fruit, gooseberries, citrus, a touch of green apples and a fairly bitter finish with citric/resinous hops. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Slightly metallic. Impressive hop character. Very nice.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. This is a near clear golden one with a little heavy lacing white top. Smells really sticky sweet and malty. Loads of concentrated aromas, sweet fruits and some birch. Really nice stuff. Not at all as sweet as I thought. It's really balanced, lots of warming notes, strong hoppy with a little branch like thing in the finish. Right above average on the carbonation and the mouthfeel is thick, syrupy and oily. A really good double ipa. 03.05.2013

Location: Gravity at Blind Tiger, 6/23/13
Aroma: The nose is a good mix of hoppy and malty, with a good amount of both
Appearance: A clear orange color with a small, bubbly white head and a good amount of lace
Flavor: The taste is balanced between the bittern and sweet, leaning slightly to the bitter side
Palate: The body is medium, it has a little stickiness, a soft feel, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty solid one. The gravity treatment worked nicely, and the beer itself, though not a massive standout, just worked overall. Good stuff.
