Bottle black with dark brown edges, fleeting momentary head with carmely roasted aroma. As it warms up a bit, nice smooth roasty flavors come out and a silky soft palate. Nicely balanced. Very tast.

12 ounce bottle. Dark brown color topped by a small, brief beige head. Subtle roasted malt aroma with notes of coffee and chocolate. Sweet roasted malt flavor with a creamy mouthfeel. Some cocoa and coffee in the mid taste, while the oats add an earthy, nuttiness. Light dry bitter hops in finish balance this nicely. Very tasty and smooth.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered brown-black body with a creamy beige head. Definitely heading into the sweet stout style, very sweet with an almost lactic touch. Doesn’t come off that fresh...but it’s not, over 6 months since it was bottled. Roasty, big specialty malt tones. The hops are faded and gone, and I’d assume that what made this beer work. Not so bad, some luscious chocolate tones, but not good enough that I’d eagerly revisit it....revisited and I like it a lot better. Displays some respectable balance. Good beer.
