Unique Imperial Stout. Black, intense and komplex. Well-balanced roasted, fruity and liquorice notes with a mild bitterness and a hint of sweetness. Legendary brew from BFM clocking in at 10.276 % vol. With its ebony colour, a dense coffee flavoured foam, the bouquet incorporates hints of liquorice, Bourbon vanilla, and Sarawak pepper. Dry hopping notes and the use of roasted malts are also perceptible. On the palate, it introduces burly and creamy tastes with developing aromas that are slightly sour, but the finish proves to be long with a subtle tartness that grants this revolutionary Cuvee its ungovernable supremacy.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. Surprisingly hoppy for an imperial stout, yet not lacking dessert sweetness. Soft, smooth and sweet on the tongue. Well-hidden alcohol.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottle. Very dark brown, almost black with tan head. Aroma of light vanilla, roasted malt, chocolate. Dark tea, bitter chocolate, light pepper, light vanilla, toasty malt, tobacco, spice, and dark fruit flavors. Starts off a little sweet on the tip of the tongue and then proceeds to a more dry and bitter finish. Alcohol is well-hidden for 10.3 ABV. Rather unique. Nice bottle.

Bottle shared at just passed the milestones tasting. Hazy dark brown with fizzy dark beige head. Lots of herbs up front, spicy yeast, sweet grains, soft chocolate, fresh leaves, minerals, grassy and peppery. Light sweet and medium herbal bitter. Over medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and light chili burn. Very unusual stuff, more like a dark saison. Very spicy and peppery, I quite like this.

Sample at SBWF 2015. Almost black with a tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, light tobacco, coffee and light spices. A bit on the sweet side and with a full body. A bit different but quite tasty.
