Unique Imperial Stout. Black, intense and komplex. Well-balanced roasted, fruity and liquorice notes with a mild bitterness and a hint of sweetness. Legendary brew from BFM clocking in at 10.276 % vol. With its ebony colour, a dense coffee flavoured foam, the bouquet incorporates hints of liquorice, Bourbon vanilla, and Sarawak pepper. Dry hopping notes and the use of roasted malts are also perceptible. On the palate, it introduces burly and creamy tastes with developing aromas that are slightly sour, but the finish proves to be long with a subtle tartness that grants this revolutionary Cuvee its ungovernable supremacy.

Haand 2014. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, hop, berries. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, hop, berries, caramel, alcohol. Full body. Nice beer.

From tap at BierCab, Barcelona. Black color with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malty, chocolate, light alcoholic and kind of perfume. Taste is sweet and bitter, roasted malty and alcoholic again. Almost medium body, oily with average carbonation and alcoholic finish.

Batch 2014, drinking slightly below room temperature. I’ve had this one a few times already though. Dark brown-black color with medium beige head. Roasted malt in the arome, a bit of tartness, fruits and sugar. Taste is roasted malts, coffee, a slight bit sour and a little bit of tea. Smooth mouthfeel, low carbonation. Very good.

’Jurassic’ imperial stout named after a Swiss revolutionary. Thin, off-white head, colour equally black, no light getting through. Aroma of coffee, pepper, vanilla, tobacco, jute, caramel; taste of candied fruits, liquorice, smokey accent, sourish hint leading to a certain dryness that carries on into the finish due to roasted bitterness, though not very strongly coffee-like. Interesting and not too typical for its style.

Flat deep brown almost black pour with no head. Aroma of licorice, leather, plums, figs with hints of roasted malts. Light body with similar flavors and drying through the finish. Re-rate 2011 bottle consumed 2017. Similar look. Aroma of mouldy wood. Taste is mouldy, stale and woody. Absolutely horrible. 1-3-1-1-2.

I am not into the tea here. Turns it into more of a sweet "beverage" than a beer. Very weird. Caramel chocolate tones. Who in their right mind adds tea to beer? A lot of sweetness.

Bottle at Jester King. Pours a dark brown with beige head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and bread. Thick mouthfeel with roasted malt, dark fruits, and light dry finish. Good.
