Sampled @ CBC 2013. Dark brown color with a slight red glare coming through, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, roastyness, lightly alcohol, slightly coffee and chocolate. Light to moderately bitter finish.

Draught at CBC ’13. Opaque black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, ash, chocolate, licorice and leather. Taste is dry and medium bitter with notes of ash, coffee and licorice. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Pretty average IS.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a foamy white head. Aroma of roasty and grainy malts, bready notes and hints of coffee and licorice. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and grainy. Finish is roasty and grainy with some maltiness. Okay, a bit unbalanced.
