Piney, resiny and lighter fruity hoppy aroma with roasted malt, chocolate and a tinge of liquorice, also delicately buttery hints. Bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry and moderately roasted malt character with notes of dark chocolate, espresso and a present hoppy backbone, including mainly resiny, earthy and fruity accents of berries, cassis; dry, hoppy and roasty bitter finish. 04.II.16

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Earthy, dusty, minimally herbal, dark fruity aroma, hints of blueberry, a touch of liquorice, cautious chocolately dark malty background, a touch of simit and rancid sesame oil. Taste is slightly sweet, chocolately dark malty, hints of blueberry, juniper berry, mildly bitter hoppy overtones with a mineral touch; lasting bitter finish with juniper berry touch, soft palate. Looks like made from leftovers rather than a wholehearted approach to create an high-end Black IPA - uninspiring.
