Brennessel gibt unserem Bier eine frische spritzige Note. Die Blätter enthalten Mineralsalze, lösliche Kieselsäure, Vitamine, Aminosäuren, Carotinoide und Flavonoide. Sie soll uns jung und elastisch halten und bei vielen Alltagsleiden helfen.
Holunder ein fruchtig-süßes Aroma in Geruch und Geschmack kommt von den Blüten. In der Volksmedizin wird er als schweißtreibendes Mittel bei fieberhaften Erkältungen genutzt.
Mädesüß wurde früher zum Süßen und Aromatisieren von Getränken verwendet. Schon im Mittelalter unter dem Namen Gichtkraut oder Wiesenkönigin bekannt

Bottle from Rewe Homberg, Dortmund. Fresh sourish fruity beginning. Tastes a bit like a slightly sour herbal tea. Lots of herbal aspects here, the body is fresh and slightly grainy, smooth but moderate bittered. The herbs are in the foreground, slightly sourish with floral hints. Very interesting stuff - but nice.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks David Cohen. Yellow. Aroma has slightly sourish fruitiness, spiciness, a bit herbal, a bit vegetal. Sweetish flavor with malt, graininess, some herbs, vegetables. Light-bodied.

04-08-16 / 330ml bottle at the brewery pub. Light hazy golden yellow colour almost no head. Herbs already in the nose. Light body, light carbonation, bit too much watery. It lacks some malt strength.
