Brown with a fleeting, frothy head. Aroma full of banana, yeasty black bread. Taste goes in a less pleasing direction—cloyingly sweet with syrupy (banana) and fruity tones that come off feeling artificial, especially at the finish. A crisp grainy note saves this from being a disaster. Full bodied with mild carbonation. It did grow on me, but maybe it’s just the well hidden alcohol.

330mml. bottle as part of a trade with Rhoihessegold. Many thanks. Tasted on the 13/09/2018 at «Mimosas». My 200th german beer rated her. In short: A malty caramel and slightly metallic doppelbock with a touch of banana and toasted grains. Color ámbar con una espuma ligera y pequeña. Aroma de banana, caramelo, pan tostado y malta. El sabor es un poco lo mismo, se nota ligeramente la banana, destacando las notas de malta acaramelada. Tiene un toque metálico que le confiere un sabor un tanto oxidado. Final ligeramente suave. Next one please!!

30-12-16 // bottle. Brownish beer with a small head. Sweet malty. Loads of banana, some hazelnut, nutty, fruity notes. Light creamy. Lovely.

On tap in Mainz. Smooth fresh with fruity malt. Fresh great fruitiness, smooth and mild. Sweetish-dry, fresh yeast, great and intense. Malt, caramel and biscuit on the tongue.
